Vintage Love #5

December 31st, 2011

This bargain I encountered on a French flea market in Belfort. We arrived very late and everybody already started packing his stuff for leaving. I found a stand where they had very nice silk scarfs but I wasn’t not really interested in buying one of them. Expecting to find something special in this box filled with them I was searching until I encountered this jewel at the bottom.

a designer piece, no doubt

Polish Tomtato Soup

When I went to La Polonesa in Madrid, I realized how much I like the Polish version of tomato soup with noodles. For Christmas dinner I decided to make Polish Tomato Soup as a starter and looked up the recipe on the web.

The Polish Tomato Soup looked like this:

It is the same that I saw at La Polonesa in Madrid. The red skirt with the flowers, the white shirt with the vest and the flowers on the head. I also had the red necklace but it must have gotten lost with the years.

Basel Photography - Grossbasel with the Münster

Basel is situated on the border to Germany and France giving it a very mixed society speaking French, German and the Swiss dialect or “Mundart” how they call it here. It is divided by the Rhine into Grossbasel and Kleinbasel.

Historically Basel is the starting point for the settlement in Switzerland which started around 2000 years ago. The first signs of it were found on the Grossbasel side where now the Novartis campus can be found. More from Basel Photography. (more…)
