This blog is about my daily discoveries mostly in the Spanish capital, the city I have been living in for now 16 months, but also about my travels around Europe. I want to share things related to the topics food, culture, fashion, travel and the Spanish life Madrid is full of.
I started this blog, inspired by many other blogs I am reading regularly, to share my view of things with many others out there. My first intention was to write about Madrid, a city I am discovering every day and where I find the most interesting things. Living in Madrid I realized very fast that it is very different compared to the other European cities I have been to and lived in. The way people here spend their days, dress up and go for dinner, party all night, shop at their many markets, care for their lives and the city they are living in, is fascinating me.
One of the great things I experienced in Madrid is the change of attitude. While I was living in Basel I was not very outgoing all the time. It was not easy for me to meet new people or talk to strangers. With my posts about Madrid I want to show how my live has changed. The fact that I moved here without knowing anybody made me learn to make new friends, find everything on my own by using the internet and talking with strangers without fear.
Madrid gave me so much now I want to share this with all the readers of this blog.

Empecé este blog, inspirado en muchos otros blogs que estoy leyendo con regularidad, para compartir mi visión de las cosas con muchos otros por ahí. Mi primera intención fue escribir sobre Madrid, una ciudad que estoy descubriendo cada día y donde encuentro las cosas más interesantes. Vivir en Madrid me di cuenta muy rápido que es muy diferente en comparación con las otras ciudades europeas que he estado y vivido. La forma como la gente de aquí pasa los días, vestirse y cena fuera, fiesta toda la noche, comprar en sus mercados , como cuidan de sus vidas y de la ciudad en que viven, me fascina.
Una de las grandes cosas que he experimentado en Madrid es el cambio de actitud. Mientras vivía en Basilea yo no era muy sociable todo el tiempo. No fue fácil para mí conocer gente nueva o hablar con extraños. Con mis articulos sobre Madrid quiero mostrar cómo mi vida ha cambiado. Me mudé aquí sin conocer a nadie, me hizo aprender a hacer nuevos amigos, encontrar de todo por mi cuenta, mediante el uso de Internet y hablando con extraños sin temor.
Madrid me ha dado tanto ahora quiero compartir esto con todos los lectores de este blog.
